Camera School for Beginners
If your camera spends most of its life on Auto, this is the day that changes it. We keep the group small, the jargon light and the tea flowing, and by the afternoon you will be choosing settings deliberately instead of hoping for the best.
What you’ll learn
- Holding, supporting and handling your camera with confidence
- The exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed and ISO in plain English
- Getting focus right first time — and knowing why it missed
- Reading light: why your photos look dull and how to fix it
- File formats, memory cards and a simple backup routine
- A short review session so you leave knowing what to practise
